About

MediaKron is a collaborative portfolio platform that provides a suite of integrated tools for curating and narrating digital work.

It was developed at Boston College between 2008 and 2019.

Purpose

  • To provide a user-friendly, integrated toolkit for building rich digital projects in an academic setting 
  • To get more people involved in exploring the potential for deep thinking in a digital world
  • To create a shared platform for innovation rather than building one-off projects 
  • To celebrate a “slow digital” approach that fosters reflection, deliberation,  and collaboration
